So, I am a reluctant fan of consumeris. In the case of a cute pair of shoes or pants that make my butt look great, I'll make an exception.

But for something like new carpet ... well ... I would just rather not.

However, our carpet has reached the point of deterioration where I would rather not ever invite anyone over again. So we bit the bullet and made the purchase.

With the help of Empire Carpet and some fast little Mexican guys, we now have lovely new floors that make any homeowner proud.

The best part of having new carpets was right after dinner, when my two-year old slid down from his chair and went running to his room to play toys. As he sped off, he called out "nice carpet, mom!"

That kid cracks my ass up!
