Fetish
I have a major pen fetish. I like rollerball, heavy weight with a smooth glide tip. (Actually the smooth glide tip applies in so many situations, but I digress.)
Borders is making it hard for me to buy presents for others yet again this year.

I have the type of pen fetish that can go violent. If any unauthorized person should borrow, take, steal, hide or look at my favorite pen there will be blood shed. I have 6 of this particular pen and they are secretly hidden. I am currently on the search for a darling little notebook similar to the one in your picture - I am going to Borders right away....

That little notebook is actually a date book for 2008. And it comes in green. Love it!
I love the rollerballs, too. I don't need them very heavy, per se, but too light for their thickness and they're unusable.
