It's electric

I have a confession. Although my love of music tends to run a punk rock bent, I secretly love electric dance. I especially love it at the club when the lights are pulsing, the air is heavy and I can twist and wriggle to my heart's content.

Because of this secret love, I sometimes find myself in possession of albums that I would never willingly admit, such as the most recent from a little blonde princess who is having a host of legal issues with her kids. I can't even type the name, it's that bad.

I was thrilled to see the newest slice from Goldfrapp is due out Feb. 26. This is a fun group, full of electric dance, 70s outfits and some freaky hair styles. My current hairstyle is modeled somewhat from this singer, with the streaky blonde highlights and the black as sin lowlights. Combine that with the black fingernails and I can still claim to have some musical taste, despite my electric dance fever.

I'm still excited for the new disc. The anticipation makes me say, Oh la la la....

You really think Brit-Brit counts as "electric dance?" And have you seen Hard Candy? I like Goldfrapp, but there's a great anti-GF moment.

There are some pretty snappy dance tunes on her new CD, which I will state for the record I did NOT purchase. It is a pillfered copy.

I haven't seen Hard Candy, will it ruin my love of her funky blonde curls?
