One of my favorite lines from a song was writen by Metallica: “Then it comes to be the soothing light at the end of the tunnel is just a freight train headed your way.”
I love the irony of it. Coupled with the heavy bass riff and nasty growl of James Hetfield and it’s a musical match made in heaven.
It was a mutual lust of all things heavy metal that brought the hubby and I together. He actually went to a stadium concert with Metallica and Guns N’ Roses before we started dating, but I knew right then that we were destined to be.
So it is with great anticipation I’m watching the streaming downloads from Metallica’s newest album, “Death Magnetic” which is due Sept. 12. Reviews have been far and few between.
I’ve heard a few of the songs making the rounds on the local rock station. The first line: “Born to push you around. You better just stay down.”
Oh yeah, I can feel the mosh pit anger pulsing in my blood already.

I, like the remaining 6 Metallica fans, am eagerly awaiting this follow-up to the critically acclaimed St. Anger.
Soul mates...
