I read an interesting article today on how the remaining members of the Beatles are releasing a new album of remixed favorites. The album, titled "Love" is billed as a "radical remixing of some of the group's most famous songs."

I could not call myself a music connoisseur (and I do!) without having my own affair with the Beatles. In fact I'm a fan from childhood. I can't remember a time I didn't know the words to "Eleanor Rigby" or "Can't Buy Me Love."

And I'm not alone. A google search of "Beatles" will net you more than 53 million hits.

I always have mixed feelings about remixes. I loathe them in rap music. It's an adulteration of the original song. Come up with your own music!

But this is different. This is an alteration BY the remaining members of the band. And the reviews have been very positive.

Still, I have a bit of apprehension.

That didn't stop me from going out to their Website and sending a LOVE postcard.
