I already have two nieces and a newphew I adore on my hubby's side of the family. But this baby is different. This is my sister's son. My flesh and blood. My little sister is going to be a mommy. That is amazing to me. I am awed by his little profile, button nose and tiny clenched fist. I can't wait to kiss his downy head and feel his weight in my arms.
I can honestly say that I am almost excited as when I saw my son for the first time. Except this time, I get to be the cool Aunt Michele who always has gum in her purse and a magic tickle finger hiding behind her back, sure to elicit those proverbial peals of laughter. My son and Jenn's will spend the night on the farm with Nana and Grampa Gary and learn things about cows, why branches fall off trees and how to pee outside. I can hardly wait.
I always thought people who had kids were crazy .. then I had one of my own. Now I think you'd be crazy not to. It's amazing, there is no comparison.
Merry Christmas, baby boy. We can't wait to meet you!

Congrats! I remember the time that I found out my brother and his wife were having a baby. Everyone at work thought I was crazy by the way that I acted. I was so excited and I couldn't wait to see her and hold her. The best part was that I could send her back to mom and dad when she cried and pooped. Being an aunt is the best thing in the world! You don't have to change diapers, feed them, console them, or get up in the middle of the night with them...unless you really want to. I'm so happy for you and your family.
Have a great holiday season!
I think we should have a contest to see who can spoil the new one the worst. It's the least we can do to return the favor, eh? ;)
Merry Christmas!

I am still in awe looking at this little baby boy. I can't really be carrying this little angel in my tummy? Can I? Ohhh...I just felt him kick. I guess that answers my question!
I cant wait for Nathan and my little one to become best of friends. I love you sister.
Umm, Jenn, you're starting to freak me out a little. I love you too, but I don't believe you really wrote this. Too many hormones?
Could be the hormones - I was singing Johnny Angel this morning right after I hummed the Limbo theme song.
Limbo Lower Now!
