Inspiration

I have an iTunes card that is burning the proverbial hole in my pocket. As fates would have it, right after Christmas our laptop blew a gasket and we had to return it to the mothership to have it repaired. No computer, no iTunes. Damn!

Last week the computer returned but I didn't have enough time to investigate some music choices. I knew that Beck had put something out in the past four months. His song "I think I'm in Love" was high on my list.

And then there is Muse. They put out an album this past summer called "Black Holes and Revelations." The song "Starlight" was an instant favorite of mine.

This band is often overlooked and I can't figure out why. Their stuff ranges from punk and rock to dangerously close to disco. It's a fun band.

I downloaded about half the album, then mixed it with my favorite songs from their last album, "Absolution." The song, "Hysteria," well ... it just kicks ass!

I'd predict it will be my muse for headbanging in the car for the next few weeks.
